This family desperately needed space for their growing family. Their existing home in Arlington, Virginia had approximately 2000 square feet between their basement, first floor, and attic space. Our design doubled their existing home size, while maintaining the Colonial architectural style of the neighborhood. The project added a full second floor as well as a rear addition nearly the full width of the existing home footprint. 

For the Buchanan project, the homeowners needed additional square footage and wanted to have a modern farmhouse aesthetic. The design added a full second floor addition with three full bedrooms, a wrap around porch, and a large rear deck.

These homeowners needed an additional bedroom and bathroom for a member of the family confined to a wheelchair. We designed this addition with accessible features to aid in caring for him at home.
