This beautiful property in suburban Sterling, Virginia was the setting for a large contemporary farmhouse. Set on 1.3 acres, the house was set to take advantage of the large, south-facing back yard with a great room opening to large patio and future pool. The home has a generous 6600 sf of finished space with 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, lounge, office, prep kitchen and bonus basement space.
For this property in suburban Washington, DC, we worked with the builder to design a home to replace an old one-story brick home with a large home built for the modern family. The home features an open living space, 6 bedrooms, and 5.5 bathrooms. A second floor roof porch off the Primary Bedroom allows for solitude for the owners to enjoy their wooded backyard space.
This 8 acre property in Fairfax Station, Virginia is set high on a hillside overlooking a small creek to the south. This home was designed with views in mind, with large south-facing windows into the main open living space. With tall ceilings, walls of glass, and a striking roofline - this home is built to impress.
For this project, we worked closely with the builder to demolish a run-down bungalow and reuse the existing foundation to reimagine the space as a more modern residence. Existing lot setback encroachments dictated much of the front elevation, with a stepped back front facade to not encroach further into the setback. A large roof deck will allow the new owners some private outdoor space high above the busy street below.
This family continually hosts large gatherings of family and friend, and wanted a space for their guests to be comfortable. The rear of this home is focused on a large open kitchen and family room which opens to the spacious back yard. Of course, no custom home would be complete without a luxurious primary suite - and this design did not disappoint!
